[Case Study of Automation Solution Implementation in Post-Process] Process Improvement
Not only compatible with insertion components but also with surface mount components! High versatility enables process improvement as well.
We would like to introduce a case where process improvement was achieved through automation solutions for post-processing. The customer's concerns included the need for dedicated machines for each supply form, such as axial and radial, leading to a high occupancy rate within the factory, and the fact that even if dedicated machines were updated, their functions remained unchanged, making it difficult to achieve process improvements. After implementation, we received feedback such as "We were able to handle manual insertion parts that could not be addressed by automatic machines (AI machines)" and "Due to high versatility, we also achieved process improvements." [Challenges] - Dedicated machines are required for each supply form, such as axial and radial, resulting in a high occupancy rate within the factory. - The investment required due to aging equipment is substantial, and it is difficult to update multiple aging machines simultaneously. - Updating dedicated machines does not change their functions, making it hard to achieve process improvements. - The aging of maintenance personnel and the high difficulty of adjustments have led to a decrease in equipment operating rates, and the transfer of skills to younger employees is not progressing. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
